Events will be held across Greater Sydney, including Sydney Olympic Park and on and around the iconic Sydney Harbour. Sydney Olympic Park is home to the Aquatic Centre, the Athletics Centre, the Netball Centre and the Sports Centre. Used for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, these state-of-the-art venues are well equipped to host our Games in 2018.

Sydney Olympic Park

Redeveloped ahead for the Olympics in 2000, Sydney Olympic Park is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment complex in Western Sydney. Olympic Park will act as the main hub during the Games with events being held at the Aquatics Centre, Athletics Centre, Netball Centre and Sports Centre.

On and around Sydney Harbour

The iconic Sydney Harbour will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for the sailing and road cycling events which will take place on and around the Harbour respectively.

Royal Botanic Gardens

Established in 1816, the Royal Botanic Garden is the oldest botanic garden and scientific institution in Australia. It is home to an outstanding collection of plants from Australia and around the world.

NSW Golf Course

Situated conveniently just 20 minutes north of Sydney’s CBD, the NSW Golf Course is one of the finest courses in the world. Come October 2018, the NSW Golf Course will host the Invictus Family Golf Open.

The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will introduce and celebrate the spirit of Invictus and the outstanding achievements and inspiring resilience of the competitors.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony will be held on Saturday 20 October 2018 and will be an opportunity to welcome competitors, their family and friends, and spectators from around Australia and the world and kick off the Games.

Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony will be held on Saturday 27 October 2018 and will be a celebration of the outstanding achievements and awe-inspiring spirit of our competitors over the eight days of competition.
