PLANNING YOUR VISIT
Sydney is one of the most iconic cities in the world with its glittering harbour, idyllic beaches, beautiful weather and friendly locals. Sydney is a vibrant city where it’s easy to get out and about if you have a disability or require assistance with access. Visit Sydney For All, an official website of Destination NSW, for accessible attractions, events and transport.
Accessible seating is available within all venues. If you have accessibility requirements, please advise Ticketek when you purchase your tickets or prior to competition day. Visit the Sydney Olympic Park website for information to help you plan your visit.
The best way to get to and from Invictus Games Sydney 2018 events is by public transport. Services across all modes of transport including trains, buses, ferries and light rail run regularly to get you to events around the Sydney Harbour Foreshore on the opening weekend 20 – 21 October. For events in Sydney Olympic Park from Monday 22 to Saturday 27 October, plenty of extra trains will run between the City and Olympic Park. Ensure you allow plenty of time for travel and entry. Don’t forget you will need an Opal card to travel.
Entry gates will open 60-minutes prior to each early competition session, 90-minutes prior to athletics and aquatics sessions and 30-minutes between sessions.
Please note that parking restrictions and road closures will be in force during competition. Please see the Sydney Olympic Park website for details.
There is limited parking available during the Games at Sydney Olympic Park for $5 an hour up to a maximum of $25 per day. If you decide to drive, we encourage you to pre-book a parking space, including accessible parking, through the Sydney Olympic Park website
All Invictus Games Sydney 2018 competition venues offer general admission seating. Arriving early will give your group the best chance of sitting together.
All spectators are encouraged to enter and exit the venue at the allocated session times, however there will be no restrictions if you arrive late or need to leave early. Please note there are no pass outs, so you may only exit the venue once.
RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED ITEMS
Tickets will be scanned and all spectators must pass through security screening to access the venue.
Please familiarise yourself with our restricted and prohibited items.
We encourage a ‘less is best’ approach. If you need to bring bags, ensure they can fit comfortably under your seat. All bags must pass through the security screening. To ensure a speedy entry into the venue, avoid carrying bags. If necessary, bring a small bag that will fit comfortably under your seat.
There are no cloakroom facilities available at any competition venue.
Commercially sealed plastic water bottles up to 600ml per person are permitted. Transparent plastic re-usable bottles must enter the venue empty. Aluminium and glass water bottles are not be permitted. Please read the Venue Entry Conditions and familiarise yourself with the Prohibited and Restricted Items before you arrive:
